Join in a FUN swap that two of my Bee Happy Stampers Team Members thought would be totally awesome. We call it the Radically Retro Swap Party. It will be held in person and via Zoom on Sunday, November 3rd from 3 - 5:30 pm cst. We may finish the zoom early, but will be having a potluck after for those who attend in person. There will be a sign up post in the Facebook Group, Radically Retro Swap Group - click HERE as we get closer to the event.
There aren't many rules, but there are a few that you will need to follow.
1 - You must use a radically retro (retired) Stampin' Up! stamp set (it cannot be a current and available for purchase set - check the online store if you are uncertain). Pick that stamp set you bought with good intentions and never used or use an oldie but a goodie that is well loved.
2 - Everything else that you use must be Stampin' Up retired products except the cardstock and ink colors can be current if you wish....or heck, use those retired colors!
3 - Swaps must be in a clear envelope (Stampin' Up brand preferred and unsealed makes me very happy so I can easily remove the cards and put them back in the envelope). Please include your name on a post it note so everyone knows who it is from and doesn’t fall off the card. Do not stamp your name on the cards or they will be returned.
4 - For those participating by mail, please mail the cards to Christine Bertram, 575 E 11th St, Fond du Lac, WI 54935 so they are received by Monday, October 21st. Please include $10 cash or check for return postage if you are in 1 or 2 groups, $15 if you are in 3 groups, and $20 if in 4 or 5 groups.
5 - For those that are local and would like to participate in person, please include that with your RSVP so we can get a head count for food.
6 - RSVP by clicking HERE to let us know that you would like to participate by Friday, September 27th so the final group count can be provided to everyone participating soon after. You will make 20 cards per group that you sign up for.
7 - Cards submitted using non SU products will be returned…so sorry if this happens. Ask me if you are uncertain….I’ve been using SU products for 20+ years so I can help answer your question.
8 - We love layers and embellishments and ribbon and Stella is our very best friend. Please make sure to include at least three layers (not including the base), and ribbon and/or embellishments. Make sure to stamp the inside to match or adhere a strip of matching DSP to finish it off. We’d love for you to make a fabulous card to share. :-)
9 - We are going to cap the swap at 20 per group to help people plan. For those wanting cards from everyone you will need to register for all 5 groups and need to design a different card for each group. You will receive 19 cards as the host keeps 1 card.
10 - A zoom will be set up so you can participate virtually. Details will be provided after the sign-up period is closed.
11 - Please fill out the recipe form so I know what I’m talking about when we are ooooing and aaaaaing over the card you make. Some things you just don’t know and that’s fine…but a starting point with SU colors and stamp set /die names is awesome. Click HERE to see the form. At least one copy of the recipe form needs to be included in the GALLON size bag for each group.
After the deadline is reached I will notify everyone the exact number to bring or send to me, and which group(s) you are in. The max is 5 groups and 20 cards per group.
